Bunni

February 11, 2016 Karin Blythe

i still remember the day bunni (originally ronnie row) became a part of our family – she was 6 years old, sassy, and full of life. after about a month, we all developed an unbreakable bond with her; she loved to play outside, go for car rides, and go for walks. as a dog instinct, she wanted to protect her family but unfortunately picked on animals much larger than her, including deer. she had been trampled many times, and even lost an eye in one of the disputes – but that never stopped her from enjoying life. fast forward to 2014, we could all see that her hips were beginning to bother her and she was starting to lose her hearing. when she had her 14th birthday, we could all see that she was struggling. she was my baby; the thought of putting her down was very difficult. january 29th, 2016 was bunni’s appointment to be put to sleep – i spent every last moment with her (i even gave her some red velvet cake). my mom contacted our family friend karin, from halo pet aftercare & pet cremation, who met us at the armstrong veterinary clinic. bev from the the armstrong vet clinic was absolutely amazing in handling our situation. karin overall made this experience a lot less painful than i had anticipated. i was reassured knowing that bunni would be cared for and surrounded with love through every step of her afterlife. thank you ever so much karin – i will never be able to fully express my gratitude and appreciation for such a wonderful and heartfelt experience. rip bunni } 2001-2016
